Tips for Magento Reviews and Ratings

We've already mentioned that people are inclined to purchase products with higher ratings and better reviews. Certainly, no one can tell you about an item better than a person who used it.

Besides, by displaying reviews you show that you are open to all kinds of feedback. It establishes a valuable dialogue with your customers that helps you grow and improve. Still, that's not it.

There are more ways you can use product reviews to your benefit.

1. Increase your store's credibility with Google Reviews

Reviews and ratings have a direct impact on your store's image. Especially, if they come from a trusted and impartial party.

You can achieve this by setting up Google Customer Reviews in your Magento 2 store. It adds the Google rating badge to your storefront giving you more credibility.

Besides, the process is fully automated. Customers receive a survey after purchase and provide a rating to your store. The only thing you have to do is to set everything up initially.

This way, you increase the authority of your store and show people that they can trust you.

2. Create the "Most Rated" category

Another great strategy is sort products by rating and gather them in one category. So, people don't have to browse through your pages and look for nice reviews. There's a entire category dedicated to that.

This is a dynamic category, so you don't have to update it yourself. You just set up the rules and all matching products are added and updated accordingly.

The settings won't take you more than a few minutes, but positive results will stay with you for time to come.

3. Receive email notifications about new reviews

Since you aren't logged into the admin panel all the time you can't monitor your review panel constantly. It limits your review tracking capacities.

That's why you may need to enable new review email notifications in Magento. You can set up the schedule and receive a CSV file with reviews in your email box.

Besides, you'll get an admin panel notification any time there's a new review waiting for your approval.

It's also a great opportunity to keep a record of all received reviews. You may use the collected info to create customer satisfaction reports and use it as a basis for your store's strategy.

As you can see Magento 2 reviews and ratings have lots of applications. They are easy to implement and don't take much of your time to manage.

The default functionality gets the job done. However, you can combine it with the advanced tools to open the full potential of reviews and ratings in Magento.
