1. Go to Content > Blog > Import > Import to Amasty

  • Specify the Database Name of your old blog.
  • Fill in the User Name.
  • Enter the Password.
  • Add your old blog's host in the Database Host field.
  • Set the Table Prefix.
  • Choose the Store View you want to import your old blog to.

3. Press the Start Import button. 

Note: to import and display the images from your old blog, you have to copy the images files to the Magento pub/media/magefan_blog directory. 

Troubleshooting

Databases are configured to only accept requests from the same server where they are requested and to reject any requests from other servers because of security concerns.

It is recommended to migrate the database of your old blog to the same server where your Magento database is kept in order to prevent potential problems when importing your blog. The database's original settings can still be modified to permit access from external servers, though.
