Show Localized Pages in Search Results
Managing a multi-language store includes a lot of aspects. But the most important part is — alternate hreflang tags.
They tell Google about page alternatives targeted at different languages and countries.
This allows search engines to pull out a localized version of a page in search. So you not only attract more traffic but improve customers' experience as well.
Generate Hreflang Tags Automatically
It’s easy to get overwhelmed when adding hreflang tags to your store. Especially if you have to do it multiple times for all your products and categories.
But not if you use the Magento 2 Hreflang Tags Extension.
It generates hreflang tags for products, categories, and homepages automatically. All you need is to enable the module. It covers the rest.
However, if your products and categories have different IDs, you can still add hreflang tags manually.
Add Hreflang Tags Through the Admin Panel
Once you delete a page, edit a URL key or add a new language you have to edit the hreflang tags in code.
At least, it was this way before the Magento Hreflang Tags solution.
You can now add, edit or delete hreflang tags in the Magento admin panel.
Just specify the page ID, or start typing a name and choose a corresponding option from the list. Anyone can do it. It is that simple.
Target Different Language Variants
If you offer separate pages in a language with region variants (e.g. US English, GB English, AU English) you have to tell search engines about it.
Use Alternate Hreflang Tags for Magento 2 to assign certain store views to regions and add custom locale codes.
Avoid duplicate content penalties and target visitors not only by their language but the location as well.
Make sure it's a good match!
Uncertain whether the Magento 2 Hreflang Tags Extension has all the features you're looking for, or if it aligns with your goals?
Add Hreflang Tags to More Than One Website
It is relatively easy to add hreflang tags in Magento with only one website. When there’s more, it’s hard to keep things simple.
However, we managed to.
Use different locale groups for different websites if you don’t want to “connect” hreflang tags between those websites.
Using hreflang tags can be simple with the Magento 2 Hreflang Tags Extension!
Yet, if you'd still like to update after 365 days pass, you can renew access to updates and support for 50% of the extension's price. Find more in our license agreement.
This means the extension will work on all websites within one Magento admin panel. At the same time, you don’t need a license key to use the extension on stage, dev or test websites.
Show localized pages in search results and improve store stitching in your multi-language store with hreflang tags.
I was able to setup the extension using the documentation easily with a few minutes. No errors after installation. Hreflang testing tool result now green :-) Thanks
