At the beginning of September, Meet Magento Ukraine 2026 brought together the Magento and eCommerce community in Kyiv for a day of talks, networking, new connections, and practical discussions about the future of online commerce.
For us at Magefan, this event was especially meaningful. Being a Ukrainian company, we were more than proud to take part in a Magento international conference on home ground, be a Silver Sponsor, and see how strong, innovative, and resilient the local Magento ecosystem is, despite the war, missiles, and drone attacks.

Participants came to Kyiv, speakers gave their presentations, businesses met potential partners, and teams discussed new technologies and market opportunities. Neither drones nor air raid alerts stopped the community from developing together, sharing valuable knowledge, and making plans for the future.
This is what made Meet Magento Ukraine 2026 different from any other industry event.
Three Stages, Three Tracks, One Day
This year, Meet Magento Ukraine ran three parallel tracks: Business, Technical, and AI.
They featured panel discussions with representatives from major businesses, marketplaces, Magento development agencies, and extension vendors, covering some of the most relevant topics in the industry right now — everything from architectural decisions for Magento stores to business strategy and how AI is reshaping the way teams work.
A few talks especially caught our team’s attention.
One of them was “What Vulnerabilities Developers Create” by Dmytro Kulyk from Protectus. We especially liked that the talk focused on real, everyday mistakes rather than rare or overly complex security threats. The examples showed how a small oversight in custom code can become a serious security issue for an eCommerce store. It was a good reminder that security should be considered while writing code, rather than treated as something to fix after an incident.
We also enjoyed “Developer Growth in Today’s Reality (through the eyes of a Magento maintainer)” by Andrii Beziazychnyi from SmartFlex. The talk showed how contributing to Magento Open Source can help developers grow their professional reputation and become more visible in the community. The speaker’s personal experience made this especially interesting for us, as it showed that contributions made outside regular work can eventually open new career opportunities.
And, of course, “The Productivity Paradox” by Denys Verhun from SPEKA gave us plenty to think about. We especially liked the idea that AI has made development faster, but not necessarily easier. Code can now be generated in minutes, but developers still need to define tasks, review the results, find subtle issues, and take responsibility for the final solution.

Conversations That Made the Day
Meet Magento Ukraine was not only about presentations. It was also about people.
Throughout the day, the venue was filled with Magento and Adobe Commerce professionals, eCommerce businesses, and agencies.
For us, it was especially valuable to meet our partners — Perspective, STAGEM, and Whidegroup. It was great catching up with the teams in person, beyond the usual emails.
It was also a pleasure to talk to Paulius Nagys from LupaSearch and Donatas Gudelis from MakesYourLocal, who traveled to Kyiv from abroad, especially now when our capital is under missile and drone attacks day and night. Having them in the room said a lot about how connected and committed the Magento community really is.
Having a great conversation with the eSputnik, Uklon, and Turum-burum teams and everyone who stopped by our booth, it was clear that the future of Ukraine is actively being built right now through ambition, innovation, and sheer determination.

Magefan Lottery and Happy Winners
Beyond the conversations, our booth also had something a little more playful: a lottery, with 100 lottery balls, each hiding a small surprise inside. Visitors could pick a ball, open it, and find a note telling them what they had won.
Among the prizes were free licenses for our most popular extensions, multitools, thermo bottles, eco bags, and power banks.

A simple idea, yet it brought plenty of positive emotions, giving us another chance to connect with visitors, have a chat, and make their Meet Magento experience a little more memorable.

Thank You to the Organizers
A special thank you goes to the Perspective team for organizing the event and supporting the Ukrainian eCommerce community.
Their hard work behind the scenes helped bring the whole event together and made everything run smoothly for speakers, sponsors, and guests.
Their efforts and dedication make it possible for this community to keep meeting in Kyiv, year after year, no matter the circumstances.
Thank you for another chance to show Ukrainian resilience, for supporting our local eCommerce community, and for proving that even in the most challenging circumstances, we continue to work, create, connect, and move forward — something that can't be taken for granted.
See you at Meet Magento Ukraine 2027! Hope the year ahead brings Ukraine victory, peace, and even more reasons to celebrate together.
