Magento Page Builder is an advanced content creation tool available from Commerce edition 2.3.1 and Open Source 2.4.3. It allows you to create rich content faster. It is due to the extensive set of features Page Builder goes with like: full-page layouts, different content types, custom product attribute input types, drag, and drop page design, etc.

Though it is a really handy tool that significantly improves content creation for multiple Magento store pages, some still prefer to use the WYSIWYG editor.

So, we'll show you 2 different ways how you can disable Page Builder in Magento 2 admin panel.

Before you ask, it is not recommended to disable it via the command line since it could break multiple layouts.

To disable Page Builder in Magento 2 navigate to Stores > Configuration > General > Content Management > Advanced Content Tools and disable the Page Builder option.

Once you disable Page Builder via this method, you won't be able to use it on any of the products, categories, CMS pages, dynamic blocks, or blogs.

However, if you want to disable it only for CMS pages or blogs, there is the other way around — Magento 2 Advanced WYSIWYG Extension

It allows you to disable Page Builder on specific pages, and use the WYSIWYG editor on them instead.

Make sure you install the latest 2.0.11 version. Then, to disable Page Builder, go to Stores > Configuration > Magefan Extensions > WYSIWYG Advanced and disable it completely for CMS, blog, category, or product pages.
