The startup page is a page you're directed to once you log into your Magento instance. By default, it is dashboard. It contains reports about your earnings, average order amount and other statistical information of different sections of your store.

However, sometimes one would like to change the startup page to save time working with Magento. It might be that dashboard is not the page store admins start their work with. So, they need to navigate to the corresponding section through multiple steps.

Changing the default startup page you eliminate these steps and optimize admins' performance in a certain way. Moreover, Magento allows you to do this without any customizations or code updating.

To change default startup page in Magento

1. Navigate to Stores > Configuration > Advanced > Admin and find the Startup Page section.

Could it be simpler?

Once you change the default startup page in Magento, you'll wonder why you didn't do it earlier.
