We contacted the Magefan Team in need of a Event Calendar. After the a short discussion we decided together to modify an existing MageFan extension (Magefan Blog), that was already installed on our Magento website.

We requested some custom work for the Blog module. We wanted an extra field for Event dates, which should be displayed frontend over the publish date. And an extra option in category to sort by this Event date.
