Have been using this for a while now on the free version but just upgraded to the latest paid version and working great.

Magefan Blog offers almost everything you might need. However, improvements could be made to multistore and multilanguage features, as well as the image folder structure.

We need a little bit of extra testing on all the functionalities, but it seems to be working fine! We are satisfied.

We are using this module for one of our Hyva stores. It was really easy to integratie this module into the design!
When we bought it it had not Tailwind JIT support. We contacted Magefan and within 2 day they added the Tailwind JIT support, free of charge.

Starting from v2.13.0, Blog Basic has become paid for Magento Open Source. Still, the previous versions of the Magefan Blog extension remain free, and we’re not taking that away. However, when users updated to version 2.13.0 or higher, the extension requires a product key and will not work without it.

Still, we understand that disabling the module may be an unpleasant surprise for those who missed the information about Blog v2.13.0 changes. That is why we changed the module behavior and display the notice first, before disabling it after a few days.

This gives time to either downgrade or purchase a license if you wish to continue using the updated version. To make it work, make sure that you're using the latest version of the magefan/module-community package (https://github.com/magefan/module-community).

I recently started using the Magento 2 Blog Extension, and it has truly transformed the way I manage my blog directly from my Magento admin panel. II have tried Free Trial version for about two months and today ordering Paid version. For Free version, I will give 3 stars mainly due to incompatibility with the popular B2B extensions. The Blog doesn't work with it and need to be fixed.

But iwhen creating pages with Magento 2, it worked quite well. This Blog Extension seems to have great future with great foundation. I can see the room to add more bells and whistles based on the Extension. I am very thankful Magefan made the extension that Magento doesn't have.

Easy to install and use, code-friendly. It blends perfectly with the style of the template I use. I hope to get a promotion, and I want to buy more plug-ins. Blog Extra has some great features like blog publish start and end dates which works well for our promotions - no need to remember to remove the blog article after the promo ends. Support is excellent too. Problems are dealt with promptly and the extension is updated regularly.

Blog extension needs a simple feature that would allow to re-arrange blog posts and change their positions in a website, not keeping them by date only.

Thank you for your review Stefan. However, our only dependency in Blog and each of our extensions is the Magefan_Community.

- Magefan_Community is a core module that comes with every Magefan module and contains the basic functionality. Other Magento 2 extension vendors may call it not "Community" but Base, Core, etc.

Then there are additional modules that come in handy, and thus are added to the package, but are not obligatory to use.
- Magefan_BlogGraphQl provides GraphQl endpoints for the Blog.
- Magefan_WysiwygAdvanced provides a better Wysiwyg editor and makes editing content in the admin panel more convenient.
- Magefan_AdminUserGuide provides guides for admin users on how to navigate and manage Magento.

I had been using the Magefan blog module on Magento 2.4.6 + php8.2 environment, but I started experiencing an increasing number of spam comments.

So, I contacted the Magefan customer support team, and thankfully, they recommended Magefan's recaptcha solution (https://github.com/magefan/module-blog-comments-recaptcha).

However, after installing it, I couldn't see the recaptcha block in the comment section, so I reached out to the support team again. They kindly accessed my server and investigated the issue before resolving it, despite it being a free extension.

The root cause was that the existing paid theme was customizing the Magefan module.

The support team is always helpful and dedicated to problem-solving.

Thanks to many templates and diverse configuration options, we were able to use the module directly. We only had to adjust a few small things to make it fit into the project design.

It's good but a little bit confused when selecting just view only (ref. access control list). But the support staff is a nice, great help.

I am using this on 2 websites, it is very easy to use, and already has good results on google search

The module covered all our needs, but after installation and configuration, we found problems - that the buttons on the products in the block articles (add to Wishlist and add to Comparison) when clicked just take the user to the top of the page, and nothing else happens.
We also noticed that there is no way to leave a review for the post, there is a review field, but there is no field for the user's email and the ability to publish, which are available in the demo version

I checked the description of the free module, it should have this functionality

We've contacted Sergii to investigate and solve these issues but didn't receive any reply. However, we feel like we need to address the issue. Regarding the wishlist and comparison buttons that take customers to the top of the page, it might be related to customization in the third-party themes.

As for the post reviews (if the post comments are implied), note that we have three comment types which you need to enable by going to Stores > Configuration > Magefan Extensions > Blog > Post View > Comments. And depending on the type of comments you enable, the user will have to be logged in (logged out) to leave a comment.

Easy to install, easy to use blog integration to Magento 2 website. Tried a few and this is most suited to what I need.

Slight problem after upgrading to Magento 2.4.6 which was actually my fault.

It's very simple to use despite the rich features and the installation was a breeze, so I could highly recommend this to anyone.

Good effort in general, but if you are going to write posts in a daily base in multiple languages this module is unefficient. You need to create a separate page for every language and you need to keep the same url for all of them to be intercorrelated.
This is very unproductive, produces a mess in the post list, loses SEO because of the same url, leads to errors because you can easily forget which pages you have already translated, also you cannot easily find which pages are the translation of the original in the list. The correct and optimal way should be the way magento uses for product translation. So pages should be internally connected with a unique id and with a selector on top left (as in products) you should select which store view you want to edit.
Is there any chance to implement it like this in the future?

To implement the multi-language functionality in our blog we followed the pattern Magento uses for CMS pages. (e.g. if you want to have a blog post for 2 different languages, you have to create 2 different blog posts).

To avoid issues with keeping the same URL across several store views, you can use the Hreflang Tags extension ( https://magefan.com/magento2-alternate-hreflang-extension). It helps to link posts, blog categories, CMS pages between multiple store views which allows you to have different URLs. Besides, it is one of the important SEO features that allows you to inform search engines about page alternatives and provide more targeted results in search.

We use both Blog and Hreflang Tags extensions on magefan.com to deliver content in both English and Ukrainian, often using different URLs.

I have been using Magefan for my companies blog posts for the last seven months and have been enjoying the simple process of creating a blog. I have found the page builder easy to use and a better option then creating the blog in HTML. My one issue is that centering of images does not always work, i will select to have my images be centered and when i publish or preview the document, i will have to go in and adjust the margins to make it actually center. Besides that, i have enjoyed my experience in creating blogs with Magefan.

We really appreciate your feedback Zach. However, the centering of images is related to the specifics of the default Magento page builder not the Blog extension. If you check other content areas the page builder is enabled on (CMS blocks and pages, product descriptions, etc.) you will have to go through the same steps to center images.

This is a good extension, however, when we add a catalogue products list these are not "adding to cart" and are going through to a blank page. When I contacted Magefan they were not very helpful on this.

Related products on blog post pages are displayed via the default related products theme template. So the issue is in a particular theme template. This custom template has issues with "adding to cart". We've asked Nick to provide access to his instance to investigate the issue and provide a fix, but haven't received a reply.

We needed a better blog extension and I'm happy we chose Magefan. Not only does their blog have the ability to deliver 2 entirely separate blogs with separate admins (really useful when you're selling 2 different product groups) but their support is faultless. I had a SEO audit done and a small issue came up. I emailed Magefan to request a modification. They responded quickly & promptly gave me a pre-release version. WIth some companies I'd still be chasing my original inquiry!

I got the extension and now they are telling me I can not add more domain to it. at the time of the purchase, they said to contact us if you want to add more domains.

According to our License Agreement (https://magefan.com/end-user-license-agreement ) which is based on the same terms as other Magento 2 extensions vendors' licenses, one License gives you the right to use only one copy of the Software on one LIVE Magento installation. A separate License should be purchased for each LIVE Magento installation. You can use the software on an unlimited number of developments, staging, and test Magento Installations.

Matt bought two of our modules in summer 2021. After the purchase, he installed them on a test domain to test before pushing to live. Our system recognized this domain as a live installation. So, when Matt tried to install and enable them on the live domain, he received an error about an invalid license key. He contacted us about this problem, and we asked for the name of the live domain. Matt told us about 3 domains, specifying that he wanted to conduct A&B testing. We kindly added them to the license key. Matt was completely satisfied and even left good reviews about the extension on our website.

Unfortunately, there apparently was a terrible misunderstanding. Matt probably thought that he could add any domain at any time, and use 1 license to operate the extensions on an unlimited number of live installations.

A few days ago he asked us to add 3 more domains to the license key. After checking them, we discovered that they were live domains, three different stores completely unrelated to the previous project. According to our License Agreement, we asked Matt to purchase 3 additional licenses so that he could use the modules on these new websites. This answer apparently didn't satisfy Matt, and, unfortunately, we received threats in return and he started deliberately leaving bad reviews for modules he didn't even buy. We also offered a good discount, as we always do when a customer buys a lot of modules, but it didn't satisfy Matt either.

We are really sorry about this situation, and we will put more effort into informing our customers about the terms of use of our extensions.

Our Blog Extension follows the Magento system in multi websites, store and store view structure. You can work with multi-store blog posts the same way as with the CMS pages. So when you need to create blog posts for different store views, you create one blog post for one store view and the other blog post for the other, same as with CMS pages.

And if you want to connect two blog posts with different URLs, you might find the Alternate Hreflang Tags extension useful: https://magefan.com/magento2-alternate-hreflang-extension.

However, please note that you can use the Alternate Hreflang extension not only for blog pages, but also CMS, product and category pages.

The EcS_Article module was deprecated and I had no way to migrate almost 3000 blog news from Magento 1 to Magento 2.4.

Came across the Blog Extension because it could do exactly that: import all your WP data and allow it to be used in Magento 2. The only caveat I see is when you import from WP, the WP-specific code in the original blog texts are of course literally there. But the time it saves you by allowing a complete import is tremendous! We have used their blog extension extensively for quite some time--our blog creators love using this extension. We had a problem suddenly not being able to save blog posts with a date--would always get a "wrong datetime format" error. They proposed a fix right away. If you don't mind your publish date being set and saved as UTC time, no other action is required. If you need their support, just drop them a note--they responded very fast!

We have been using the extension for around 6 months now. Compared to the previous blog extension, this one has many more SEO features and the ability to customize many more parts of the blog. Their service is very fast as well.

- The issue was present in the old Blog v2.8.10 (released more than 6 months ago) and was fixed in the next releases (e.g, v2.9.0, v2.9.1). Unfortunately, no software in the world is bug-free. Once we know about any issues we do our best to fix them as soon as possible. In the case with Patrice, we didn't make any changes in the code, as the fix was already present in the latest version, so the customer`s dev team just updated the extension.

I have had an issue with the blog sidebar in my custom theme. Top assistance! Fixed in 1 minute.

I cannot say enough about Ihor and the service he provided. It took him a day to do what it took my web developers months to try and do. The extensions functions perfectly and I am very happy with everything.

- This issue has been fixed in the Blog extension v2.9.1. This has happened in the admin panel when having a lot of blog tags (thousands of tags). Default Magento 2 UI Select Box was not able to work fast with such a number of elements. Post tags selectbox was changed to jQuery TagsInput & jQuery Autocomplete.

Have tried a few other blog extensions, but this one is the best I've seen. Easy to use, intuitive settings, fast responses from developers. Definitely recommend. Love the enhancements it's given our website.

Was able to easily migrate my blog from Wordpress. Magefan blog is easier to use than Wordpress and includes all the features I need, whereas Wordpress required lots of plugins that always required updating. Had a question after installation and support was extremely fast and helpful answering it. Recommend.

Integrating Wordpress is very cumbersome and is prone to bugs given that it is a separate platform altogether. I trying to migrate from aw_blog of M1 to magefan_blog in M2 and tried to import blog from your site. In this process, the japanese characters of that aw_blog table is not translated properly. They are shown as like this ????.

It works very well and if any doubt or question comes up, the support team answers very fast and sharp.

There are an issue in my version v2.8.2 that won't save after edit content, because date-time format error.
At mode of language set to en_US as default in the Admin area, there is no problem, but I use our language ko_KR, than en_US. In this case, there is date-time format issue when save the edited post.

Whenever change the base language to edit repetitively is not easy, consuming and annoying.

I hope it would be fixed in the next release.
