Blog is a powerful tool that allows you to drive traffic to your website. If you manage a multi-language website you get even moreof that traffic. However, on the other hand, it is not as easy to manage it as it seems.
To get all of you blog posts in different languages rank you have to configure hreflang tags for them. They will tell search engines you have multiple pages in alternative languages, so they shouldn't focus on ranking only one of them.
With our Magento 2 Hreflang Tags Extension it is extremely easy to set up.
Check out this short video to see how it works or follow the instruction below:
To add hreflang tags for Magento blog post:
1. Navigate to Content > Blog > Posts and choose the post you want to add the alternate hreflang tags on.
2. Find the Alternative Store View Localizations section and set the hreflang tags for the blog post page. Start entering the page title in an alternative language and choose the corresponding page from the dropdown menu.
e.g. We have a blog post in English and Ukrainian lanaguge. So we go to to the English page to set the Ukrainian alternate hreflang tags for it.
After you save the post for which you set the hreflang tags, they will appear on all these alternate pages automatically. You can check it on storefront on all blog posts.
All pages you set hreflang tags for should have the same set of hreflang tags. Usually, you will have to go to every blog post and enter multiple href tags in all languages you have, not speaking about the other pages you have.
Magento 2 Hreflang Tags Extension allows you to do it way faster. So, once you finish with the blog posts, don't forget to set hreflang tags for blog categories and move on to other pages.
